who are we?

All three lifelong performers and artists are joining forces for the first time as a trio, bringing their expertise and passion for music and performing arts to a (very) young audience.

Alice Erlanger

Alice Florence Erlanger (FR/CH) evolves between dance, circus arts, improv, singing, motherhood and education. She completed her bachelor's degree in Dance at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp in 2011. As a freelance performer, she worked for 7 years at Circo Gran Fele in Valencia (Spain), Nature Theater of Oklahoma, Abbilash Niggapa, Sprookjes enzo, Compagnie Hay Que, les Argonautes, among others.

For the past 12 years, she has been one of the driving forces behind Ell Circo D'ell Fuego (Antwerp) as an artistic and pedagogical supervisor, coordinator, educator and policy maker.

She has been very passionate about improvisational singing for 2 years. In 2024 has followed a training course in Brussels on Circle Singing to develop tools within this discipline. Together with Tine Joris has founded ZAAI singing to share the circle singing with others.

The connecting power of improvisational singing takes her on new artistic paths. Within this field, she investigates, among other things, imaginary languages and the power of universal communication, language and cross-border, among the youngest audience. She looks for how she can combine this with her (dance/circus) physical practice and creates forms to express her own musicality, in connection with the audience.

Chantal Boes

Chantal Boes (BE) started her artistic journey in the music sector where she worked as a production manager, tour manager and singer (Think of One, Wawadadakwa, Flat Earth Society, Jimi Tenor, ...)

As a founding member of Captain Winokio, she traveled as Mrs. Peacock and the Cat. She was also responsible for production and communication. Later she founded her own companies: non-profit organization “Karton” and “Theater M u s t”. For the performances of the littlest children, she worked together with Lindai Boogerman from Sesame Street. Social artistic projects for children such as Kip Kielie and Roborix are taking shape in Kiel (Antwerp) and Deurne Noord. Occasionally she likes to coach a youth company during the process of their new performance, such as with Oorruiz and Chaque.

In the meantime, as an inspiration/coordinator, she set up the new meeting center Cinema Rix and Buurtbar Barix in Deurne Noord, where accessibility and culture in all its forms are central. Radio Rix was awarded by Publiq as one of the best cultural projects during corona. She also made several podcasts with Bent van Looy, Don Vitalski, Shamisa Derroey, Ikram Aoulad.

As a programmer and neighbourhood campaigner, she worked last year for Stories Unfold, a project by Toerisme Vlaanderen in the Rubens Castle in Zemst. The experimental revaluation project where culture, heritage, ecology and community meet.

Her mission is to enchant and inspire people in the environment where they spend every day. At school, in public spaces, at work or in your neighbourhood. Creative and passionate. Never non-binding or distant, but always involved and connected. And sustainable, every project is intended to generate a lasting impact.

In her installations- performances, she plays with the relationship between object-audience and audience-performer. She invites the audience for an immediate corporeal-sensorial dialogue with the object and the performer, relocating the protagonism from the work itself to the relation that is created between the work and the viewer.
